There are few towns in America with such a
confluence of history, culture, and world-renowned
ideas as Concord. As the steward of a collection that
spans the history of Concord from Native American
settlement to the present, the Concord Museum
tells the story of our shared history and identity as
Americans. Founded in 1886, the Concord Museum is
an irreplaceable cornerstone of the Concord experience
for visitors from around the world, as well as a vital
educational and cultural resource for residents of
Greater Boston.
The museum’s outstanding collection of over 35,000
objects includes the famous Revere lantern, Emerson’s
Study, the desk on which Thoreau wrote
Walden
, and
exceptional furniture, silver, ceramics, and needlework.
The Concord Museum’s extraordinary ability to
connect people with history is evident in outstanding
public programs for children to lifelong learners, model
education programs, innovative exhibitions, award-
winning publications, and a distinctive museum shop.
As an independent, non-profit organization, the
museum depends largely on the generosity of individual
donors who support the museum through membership,
annual fund contributions, major gifts, and fundraising
events. Concord Museum is accredited by the American
Association of Museums, the highest professional
recognition and a distinction awarded to less than 5%
of museums nationwide.

Hours of Operation:
Concord Players is an all-volunteer organization, and
we do not have fixed office hours. The best way to
communicate with us is through our website www.
concordplayers.org.
Concord Players is a highly respected, not-for-
profit, community theater that has earned accolades
and awards for its quality productions. Our season
includes three entertaining and affordable shows
throughout the year—all for less than the cost of
a single ticket to a professional theater in Boston.
We’re here to give the community access to truly
excellent theater, either as an audience member or
participant, or both. Whether you like to sing, act
and dance, or work behind the scenes on costumes,
lighting, sound, sets, props, publicity, ushering,
event management, box office and more, we’re
happy to have you join us. In fact, we provide
training for technical people!
If you want to be part of something fun, contact
us at volunteers@concordplayers.org and we’ll
welcome you with open arms.
See you at the theater!
