Colonial Stores is a women’s specialty store with

department store selections. Bob Petersen, born and

raised in Concord, began working at Colonial Stores

in 1962 as a stock boy while attending Concord-

Carlisle High School. In 1970 he purchased the store,

and with the help of a qualified staff, the store has

evolved from greeting cards and photo supplies to

the women’s shop it is today.

What makes our shop unique is our wide selection

of brands typically only found in department stores.

We carry major cosmetic lines such as Lancome

and Clarins. We offer lingerie from Jockey, Hanky

Panky, Wacoal, Eileen West, Miss Elaine, and P.J.

Salvage. We offer bath and body products from

Thymes, Caswell-Massey, Crabtree & Evelyn, and

Vitabath. In addition, we offer jewelry, hosiery, and

fine fragrance for both men and women. Why travel

to the mall when you can come to Colonial Stores?

Our success is due to loyal customers who

love to shop locally. We pride ourselves on

great customer service and developing personal

customer relationships. Whether you need a new

skincare regimen, an undergarment update, or that

emergency pair of pantyhose for a special occasion,

we look forward to helping you!

Concord Chamber of Commerce ~ Jane Obbagy, Executive Director

The Town of Concord has two

cultural districts. Each of these

cultural districts represent a

specific geographical area that

has a concentration of cultural

facilities, activities, and assets.

They are compact areas that can

be easily walked and identified to

visitors and residents, and serve

as centers of cultural, artistic, and

economic activities. The Concord

Center Cultural District was

established in 2012 and the West

Concord Junction Cultural District

in 2016. Maps of these districts

can be found on the Concord

Chamber of Commerce’s website.
