Our Farm History
Verrill Farm is operated as a partnership
between Stephen and Joan Verrill and daughter
Jennifer Verrill Faddoul. In 1982, after years of
planning and negotiations, we placed about
200 acres under a permanent Agricultural
Preservation Restriction, thus preventing
development of this land. One hundred forty
acres of the farm are in vegetable production
with a wide variety ranging from asparagus
to zucchini, with specialties being heirloom
tomatoes and sweet corn. Our primary market is
our farmstand at 11 Wheeler Rd.
The building has many green features
including a rooftop solar array, recycled heat
from the refrigeration system, automated
lighting, and natural light.
The kitchen/bakery/deli provides fresh, home-
style foods and baked goods with extensive use
of our own produce. Baked goods, soups, made-
to-order sandwiches, and entrees to take home
are customer favorites. We strive to offer a fine
selection of locally produced foods and products.
